Architects have always been drawn to the clean, modern look of traditional route-and-return ACM systems. The sharp lines, deep reveals, and crisp panel geometry are tough to beat. But then come all the complications that go with it.
That’s why we created QuickPanel®.
We set out to give architects the look they want without all the usual headaches. QuickPanel® is a complete aluminum panel system designed for today’s commercial, institutional, multi-family, and mixed-use projects. It delivers a refined facade while making installation simpler, coordination smoother, and delivery more reliable.
The Reality of Traditional Route-and-Return ACM
Traditional ACM systems can look fantastic when everything goes right. The trouble is all the work it takes to get there. You’re dealing with extensive shop fabrication, routing, folding, stiffeners, complex clips, and tight coordination between trades. It adds up to longer lead times, higher costs, and more risk during installation.
On top of that, traditional route-and-return systems often require specialized and expensive equipment. Fabricators need heavy-duty routing tables, folding brakes, custom jigs, and other machinery most general contractors don’t keep on hand. That means more subcontractors, more coordination, and higher project costs before you even set foot on site.
Most architects are really looking for just a few key things:
• Clean, consistent panel layouts
• Sharp shadow lines
• Reliable performance
Getting those results with traditional systems often turns out to be more complicated than it should be.
So What Is QuickPanel®?
In short, QuickPanel® offers a smarter path to that same clean, modern aesthetic. Instead of heavily fabricated panels and complicated attachment methods, it relies on precision aluminum extrusions and simplified installation details. The result is sharp reveals and consistent lines across the entire facade.
You get:
• Deep, intentional shadow lines
• Clean, refined panel geometry
• Built-in rainscreen performance
• Much faster and more predictable installation
• Better coordination between design and construction
Best of all, QuickPanel® doesn’t require any specialized or expensive equipment. Contractors can install it using standard tools they already have on site. No need for complex routing machines, heavy folding equipment, or custom fabrication setups. This keeps the process straightforward, reduces dependency on specialty subs, and helps keep costs and schedules under control.
It’s a system that honors what architects want while fitting into the realities of actual construction.
Two Material Options
4mm Fire-Retardant ACM This is the standard choice for most commercial, mid-rise multi-family, retail, and office projects. It gives you the lightweight, consistent appearance designers expect from ACM and works seamlessly with the QuickPanel® trim system.
3mm Solid Aluminum Plate For high-rises, stricter fire codes, institutional buildings, or projects that need fully non-combustible wall components, solid aluminum plate is the better fit. You still get the clean look, just with higher performance where it matters most.
Who Uses QuickPanel®?
Architects and envelope consultants who want strong aesthetics without the usual constructability issues tend to specify QuickPanel®. You will commonly find it on:
• Multi-family and mixed-use buildings
• Commercial offices
• Schools and institutional projects
• Contemporary civic and retail buildings
Designers turn to it when they need cleaner detailing, more consistent reveals, simpler installation, and a ventilated rainscreen, all while keeping the modern appearance they envisioned.
How the Rainscreen System Works
QuickPanel® is built as a true ventilated rainscreen. Behind the panels sits a drainage and ventilation cavity that manages moisture, helps equalize pressure, and supports long-term wall durability. The extruded aluminum trims create clean transitions, crisp corners, and uniform reveals across the facade.
It looks sharp, performs well, and is simply easier to build.
Built for Today’s Realities
Modern facades need to satisfy a lot of requirements at once: code compliance, fire performance, constructability, durability, budget, and schedule. QuickPanel® was designed with all of that in mind. It keeps the clean, contemporary look designers are after while making the system far more practical to build and install.
