QuickPanel®: What It Is, Who It’s For, and Why We Built It

Architects have always loved the clean, modern look of traditional route-and-return ACM systems. Those sharp lines, deep reveals, and crisp panel geometry are hard to beat. The problem is everything that comes with it.

That’s exactly why we created QuickPanel®.

We set out to deliver the same architectural look architects want, but without the usual headaches. QuickPanel® is a complete aluminum panel system built for modern commercial, institutional, multi-family, and mixed-use projects. It gives you that refined façade while making installation simpler, coordination easier, and delivery more predictable.

The Reality of Traditional Route-and-Return ACM

Don’t get us wrong. Traditional ACM systems look great when they’re done right. But they often come with a long list of complications: extensive shop fabrication, routing, folding, stiffeners, complex clips, and tight coordination between multiple trades. All of that adds up to longer lead times, higher costs, and more risk on site.

Architects usually just want three things:
• Clean, consistent panel layouts
• Sharp shadow lines
• Reliable performance

Unfortunately, getting there with traditional systems can be more complicated than it needs to be.

So What Is QuickPanel®?

In simple terms, QuickPanel® is a smarter way to achieve that same clean, modern panel aesthetic. Instead of relying on heavily fabricated panels and complex attachment methods, it uses precision aluminum extrusions and simplified installation details to create sharp reveals and consistent lines across the façade.

The result? You get:
• Deep, intentional shadow lines
• Clean, refined panel geometry
• Built-in rainscreen performance
• Much faster and more predictable installation
• Better coordination between design and construction

It’s a system that respects architectural intent while working with real-world construction realities.

Two Material Options

4mm Fire-Retardant ACM This is the go-to choice for most commercial, mid-rise multi-family, retail, and office projects. It delivers the lightweight, consistent look designers expect from ACM while integrating seamlessly with the QuickPanel® trim system.

3mm Solid Aluminum Plate For high-rises, stricter fire codes, institutional buildings, or projects that require fully non-combustible wall components, we offer solid aluminum plate. Same clean aesthetic, higher performance where it’s needed.

Who Uses QuickPanel®?

QuickPanel® is typically specified by architects and envelope consultants who want strong aesthetics without the usual constructability struggles. You’ll see it on:

• Multi-family and mixed-use buildings
• Commercial offices
• Schools and institutional projects
• Contemporary civic and retail buildings

Designers choose it when they want cleaner detailing, more consistent reveals, simpler installation, and a ventilated rainscreen, all without sacrificing the modern look they’re going for.

How the Rainscreen System Works

QuickPanel® is engineered as a true ventilated rainscreen. Behind the panels, there’s a drainage and ventilation cavity that helps manage moisture, equalize pressure, and improve long-term wall durability. The extruded aluminum trims create clean transitions, crisp corners, and consistent reveals across the entire façade.

It looks sharp. It performs well. And it’s much easier to build.

Built for Today’s Realities

Modern façades have to check a lot of boxes: code compliance, fire performance, constructability, durability, budget, and schedule. QuickPanel® was designed with all of those in mind.

We’re not trying to reinvent the wheel or change the architectural language architects love. We just want to make it easier to achieve, more reliable, more coordinated, and more practical to build.
